Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Policy

Purpose 

Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha (CRSMBS) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and dignified workplace for all employees, volunteers, and stakeholders, one that is free from sexual harassment in any form.

Legal Framework 

This policy is framed in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and reflects our commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of every individual associated with our organization.

Definition of Sexual Harassment 

Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, any of the following unwelcome acts or behavior:

  • Physical contact or advances of a sexual nature
  • Demand or request for sexual favors
  • Sexually colored remarks
  • Showing pornography or other inappropriate content
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) 

In compliance with the law, CRSMBS shall constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) responsible for receiving, investigating, and resolving complaints of sexual harassment in a fair and impartial manner.

Complaint Procedure
  • Complaints may be submitted in writing to the Internal Complaints Committee
  • All complaints shall be handled with strict confidentiality
  • A timely, fair, and thorough inquiry shall be conducted, leading to appropriate resolution within the prescribed timeframe
Protection Against Retaliation 

CRSMBS strictly prohibits retaliation of any kind against a complainant, witness, or any individual involved in a harassment inquiry. Any act of retaliation will itself be treated as a serious violation of this policy.
